We started Hazel to fill critical gaps in pediatric health care—to build a new model of care that meets the needs of every family and child.

Our founders saw that many families and children, especially in underserved communities, struggle to access care. Barriers including lengthy waitlists, missed hours of school and work, transportation, and costly emergency care limit access to health care, which affects students' academic performance, attendance, and general well-being.

Since 2015, we’ve been partnering with school districts to bring health care to children where they spend the majority of their time–school.
