About Array Behavioral Care:

Who we are

Array Behavioral Care is a virtual psychiatry and therapy practice that was founded by clinicians more than 23 years ago. We employ and closely manage a large team of licensed psychiatrists, therapists, and behavioral health specialists who use evidence-based assessment tools and treatment protocols to provide high-quality, standardized care. Our clinicians are supported by administrative and technical teams and overseen by engaged, experienced clinical leaders ensuring they deliver care that is effective, safe, and clinically appropriate.

What we’re not

We are not a technology platform, a network of 1099 contracted providers, or an Uber-like model where clinicians work gigs. We are not a staffing company or a locums tenens group, and our utility extends beyond simple clinician capacity. The impact of our programs is tangible, and we can predict with confidence what metrics will be improved.

How we got here

Array was born out of a bricks-and-mortar behavioral health practice in southern New Jersey that still exists today. In 1999, Founder and current Executive Chief Medical Officer, Dr. James R. Varrell, provided the nation’s first commitment via telepsychiatry. After that first encounter, we started using telehealth to deliver psychiatry coverage to local hospitals. Our telepsychiatry service offerings quickly grew into new care settings and new states. While we now have a national scope, we’re still a closely managed practice and the only one delivering virtual behavioral health services across the entire continuum of care.

Use Cases

Description:

A proactive solution for early detection

To bring order to the chaos of sepsis data, PERSOWN, a SAS Service Provider, is developing a near-real-time information exchange infrastructure that empowers clinicians, healthcare organizations, governments and researchers to make informed decisions for better sepsis management.

The Sepsis Monitoring and Alerting System for Hospitals and Home (SMASH-H) uses PERSOWN’s partner-embracing diagnostic and monitoring device tools to bring three entirely new dimensions to predictive analytics for sepsis. PERSOWN has integrated tools running on Microsoft Azure to retrieve or receive rapid diagnostics and patient data every 10 minutes or less from hospital IT systems and Remote Patient Monitoring systems worldwide for predictive analytic processing with integrated economic calculations. But to refine its algorithms and generate alerts to provide the best possible timely information to healthcare providers and financial officers, PERSOWN needed a trusted foundation of predictive analytical models. That’s why PERSOWN turned to SAS. Our AI-driven big data analytics platform added the predictive capabilities that helped make the PERSOWN solution more robust, and our data visualizations and data management software helped make its results for healthcare organizations more actionable.
