Description

Created and vetted in close partnership with nurses, this bedside virtual assistant empowers hands-free, patient-provider communication. It uses AI-powered request prioritization and smart-routing to ensure that the right resource (RN, another caregiver, etc.) is aligned to meet the needs of patients. OrbitaASSIST allows a patient to communicate using a smart speaker or audio-enabled smart device to make requests to the nurse. For example: “Tell the nurse I am in pain.” OrbitaASSIST processes the verbal request and creates a ticket, assigning it to the appropriate care team member along with the accurate priority classification. OrbitaASSIST comes with a care team dashboard and companion app to notify the nurse and other care team members when there is a new request. The care team member can see what the patient’s request is so they can respond to the patient with the context of their request. Additionally, OrbitaASSIST supports an escalation process for tickets that are not responded to within configurable defined periods.
